I AM LOOKING FOR A CHEAP HALL TO HAVE THE WEDDING I LIVE IN ELIZABETH NJ I HAVE A DJ AND MY DRESS EVERYONE SAYING THAT I SHOULD WAIT UNITLL I SAVE MONEY. IM MARRIED ALREDY FOUR YEARS AGO ME AND MY HUSBAND WENT DONE TO THE COURT HOUSE WITH OUR FRIENDS AND NO ONE KNOW ABOUT IT SO NOW I JUST WANT THE DRESS AND THE PARTY SO CAN YOU HELP WITH SOME IDEAS

Hi Yolanda

Yes you can, although it does depend on the number of guests you want to invite!

Look at spending about $3500 for your party which will leave you the rest of the money for your dress, invitations, DJ, flowers, transport and decorations.

If you want to have a vow renewal then you would need to cost that into your budget as well.

The first option in NJ is to hire a holiday let on the waterfront or somewhere else equally pretty. Find a holiday let with large enough grounds to fit all of your guests - this will cost you approx $2500 for a couple of days. Then you have $1000 for the food and drink, you may have to do this yourself with some help.

The second option is to hire a cheap hall - think schools, colleges and social clubs and then spend all of the $3500 on having an amazing party! Wow what a party! Have it just in the evening and you can have a cocktail party with hors d'euvres.

The last option is to have less guests and hire a restaurant for your party - you know the food will be good!

Have a look at www.njcaterers.net for lots of caterers, restaurants and banquet halls in NJ.

Let us know how you get on!
