How to make topiary wedding centerpieces

How to make topiary wedding centerpieces is fairly easy.

There is the ultimate cheats way, which is to buy boxwood balls or ivy topiary trees, ie balls of foam already decorated with the topiary foliage, all you would need to do is add your extra decorations. You could add your own colors using ribbons or silk flowers, then decorate the pots that they are in and you have your completed decoration!

For those of you more crafty, you will need to buy foam balls or cones, insert a wooden dowel into the foam and then place the stick into a pot that is filled with air drying clay. Using a low temperature glue gun you can then stick the silk foliage onto the foam. You don't just need to stick to leaves you could stick, confetti, bows, beads, buttons - anything! Your decoration would be very unique to you! If you have used terracota pots you only need to tie a ribbon around the top to make it look good.

For those wanting a more realistic topiary tree or decoration you can use florist's oasis. Soak the ball, cone, square, round or whatever shape you have in water and then decorate with flowers and leaves. These decorations need to be left until the day before at the earliest, if you feel time may be tight go with the silk flower options.
