How To Make Wedding Flower Centerpieces
How to make wedding flower centerpieces is not about being an absolute whizz with flower arranging, these ideas are not only cheap to make but the skill level is fairly minimal. That is not an insult to your flower skills more a comment on my own flower arranging skills! Keep your flower centerpieces simple, but beautiful is definitely the way to go!
Here are some wonderfully easy flower centerpieces that you will be able to create yourself.
The cube vase is a good starter, you can pick them up from places like IKEA or Walmart or buy wholesale if you need a few. All you need is a Hydrangea or another big headed flower, pebbles and ribbon. Place the pebbles in the bottom, stick the ribbon to the vase with glue dots and pop the flower into the vase. It is that easy! This is a great little centerpiece on a long table as you can have them dotted along the middle.
If you are looking for a tall centrepiece then you will need tall vases and a stunning tall flower. An easy and stunning tall centrepiece is to have an Eiffel vase with a bird of paradise or a calla lilly.
If you need a larger low level floral centrepiece then you can use a bowl with floating candles and also floating flowers. If you want to keep the costs down you can use petals instead of the flowers.
Petals are great to decorate any style of table and they add the floral color without the expense. If you are ordering your wedding bouquet from a florist ask if they could also provide rose petals as well. If you have roses growing in your own backyard then use those instead as they will be free! To keep your rose petals longer put them on some paper kitchen towel in a plastic box or bag and pop them into the fridge.
The trick on how to make wedding flower centerpieces with florist's foam is to again keep it simple. Use a low bowl or basket and tape the foam into the bowl. Add the foliage to your foam and then pop in the flowers! Honestly it is that simple. You could add a big candle in the middle to avoid having to make too many decisions with what to do with the flowers.
