Find the cheap wedding ideas you are looking for:

DIY Wedding centerpieces with roses are always popular at weddings and I guess that is because they are truly the flower of love!

  • And because they are popular this can also mean that they can be expensive, however if you don't have a big display and are creative with your centerpiece you can still have roses.
  • Also avoid using roses close to Valentines as they are much more expensive then.

There are lots of ideas on this page on how to create your own centerpieces with roses and also where to get cheap supplies too.

Cheap Roses For Your Wedding

When you start to think about how many roses you will need for your wedding, it can be quite a few!

(number of roses per centerpiece x number of tables) + bouquets + boutonnieres + 6 in case of an emergency  = total number of roses

Eek!

Thankfully there are a few places you can get roses cheaply online which will save you money.

  • Global Rose has a lot of different flowers and roses to choose from. Prices start from $0.68 per rose.
  • Fifty Flowers roses from $2.72
  • Amazon - has a big choice of silk roses.
  • Sam's Club
  • Costco

& local flower markets if you are lucky to have one nearby.

And because they are popular this can also mean that they can be expensive, however if you don't have a big display and are creative with your centerpiece you can still have roses.

Also avoid using roses close to Valentines as they are much more expensive then.

You could look at having a few long stemmed roses in a tall Eiffel vase and surround the vase with tea lights.

Choose a stunning long stemmed rose for this display, you will be paying more per rose but you want your tables to look stunning. The total cost will be lower for the whole centerpiece.

Or have lots of short stemmed roses bunched together in a cube vase, again you can bulk out the centerpiece by having tealights or petals around the vase.

A cylinder vase with a submerged rose with a floating candle on the top is another easy DIY option. You will need 3 vases on each table or 1 vase surrounded by tealights or petals, to ensure it doesn't get lost on your table. Have your vases at different heights to keep it interesting.

If you are having a more relaxed reception but still want roses on your tables you can use an unusual vase such as a tankard or a teacup and even a tin can. Roses look beautiful whatever their vase is!

As roses can be expensive it is worth adding cheaper flowers to your vase to bulk out the display but still look stunning. You can save even more money by having a DIY vase such as the jar with the ribbon.

Rose petals are also a very easy way to make your table decorations look more than they are, it means you can use a smaller display in the center than you would normally on your tables.
