How can I decorate a Condominium apartment conference room in front of Miami Bay for my wedding?

by Cindy
(miami fl)

My wedding will take place on March 2012. In Miami Fl. It will be at a Condominium apartments Conference room on the 38th floor, the ceremony will be outside where we have an amazing view of the bay, and the reception will be inside the conference room, which I only have space for 75 guests. I need ideas how to decorate, could I do Beach decorations Like shells, etc... I would also like to use Aqua color. I am trying to spend the least amount of money, because our budget is very limited. I would appreciate all information. Thank you.

Hi Cindy

It sounds like you are going to have the most amazing views across the bay, what a brilliant place to have your wedding!

The view is going to be the big wow of your wedding reception and that should be what you make the most of when it comes to your decorations. You probably won't need that much in the way of decorations on each of the tables so I would suggest keep it simple.

I am guessing that the look of the place is quite modern and with that in mind it might be best to enhance this rather than go with typical beach decorations. You can still use seashells but give them more of a modern twist.

To have the aqua color as part of your centerpiece see if you can get the venue to provide you with aqua slipcloths for each of the tables or a runner across the center. It is possible that they may incluse these in the price if they were already providing the table linens. It will cost them no less to hire a color linen than it would white linen.

Keeping with your beach theme you could have a goldfish bowl vase as your centerpiece with the seashells on the bottom and floating candles on the top. Or you could have a pillar candle on a server plate - which could be aqua and then have the seashells around the candle.

You could also bring in the aqua color by having colored glass tealights or vases.

If you are having bouquets then you could use these to decorate the top table.

Hope this helps get you started with your own centerpieces!

Good luck with all of your plans

Suz

Save money on officiant
by: Pastor Tomas

OJE NeNa!

One way to save money on your wedding is to pick an officiant from a local church. They are tax-deductible when the check is made to the church not the officiant. Most good officiants like the one in my area (Napa) are non-denominational. The officiant fee goes to the community to purchase school supplies and food for the needy children in the area. Should you need any help please call Calistoga Christian Center's Pastor and ask for help IN YOUR AREA.

AMEN, I DO!, LET's GO!
