I know the wedding is going to be in the late spring to early summer. April or May. I know that I want a very nice dress and I have a pear shaped. I want to kind of wait on that if I can though because we are beginning to watch our weight this year, so I don't want to get it too early. I am debating between a lavendar color with vanilla, a carolina blue with some yellow, or a mocha- caramel and champagne color for the wedding. I know that I want Callalillies because it is my favorite flower. We are only planning on just over 100 guests, mainly family and a handful of friends. I will probably only have a 5-person bridal party other than myself, not including the groom's man or ring bearers.
Hi Amanda
Congratulations on your engagement! You are at the beginning of exciting times and as long as you stay calm you will have lots of fun planning your dream wedding day.
Before weddings take over your life you need to sit down with your fiance and discuss the wedding budget. You need to know how much you can afford to spend on your wedding, be realistic about how much time you have to save and what is important to you both on your wedding day.
When you have your budget you can start thinking about how to spend it.
You will want to start with setting a date and for this you need to liase with where you would like your ceremony to take place and where you would like to have your reception. When you have a date that they can both do it is a good idea to book it!
Make sure you have a read through the site to find ways to save on having a cheap wedding reception as this is the biggest expense of most weddings.
And don't forget Planning A Small Cheap Wedding For Under $2000 a must read before you start.
Have fun and look forward to hearing more of your wedding stories as you plan.
Best wishes
Suz
